Two Dogs (Pit Bulls) Put Down By St. Johns County, Florida Animal Control Following Dog Attacks


St. Johns County (Florida) Animal Control recently put down two Pit Bulls who were involved in prior dog attacks in August 2009. The owner of each dog did not appeal the decision. St. Johns County Animal Control has the duty and responsibility to investigate dog attacks and enforce animal control ordinances for St. Johns County / St. Augustine, Florida. One of the dog attacks involved serious facial injuries (personal injuries) to a 10 year old boy. The other dog attack involved a woman who was walking with her Chihuahua dog.
