In Florida and other states, millions of teen drivers and passengers are on the roadways every day. Tragically, thousands of teen drivers (an estimated 5,000 to 6,000 per year) die as a result of traffic related automobile accidents. Some teen driving related deaths are due to alcohol or drugs. Others are caused by a distracted driver talking on a mobile phone, e mailing or text messaging. While e mailing and texting are great tools, they are quite dangerous in the hands of a teen driver or any driver for that matter.
