The Apple iPad can do many things. For some, the iPad is an expensive toy or entertainment device. To others, the Apple iPad and its thousands of Applications (commonly referred to as Apps) is an important educational tool and communication device that can enhance and improve the lives of children with special needs and development delay. Paul Pauca developed an App called VerbalVictor which will allow his 5 year old son – Victor Pauca – and many other children communicate better with parents, family, teachers, and friends. Paul Pauca developed the App with students from Wake Forest University. For just $10.00, the App can be uploaded to an iPad. Congratulations Paul Pauca on developing this App. You can read more about this story at Father Creates iPad Application to Help Son Communicate Better.
