Palm Harbor Florida Woman Loses Life in Pick Up Crash in Iowa

Kaley Michele Kennison, 26, of Palm Harbor, Florida was tragically killed in an automobile accident occurring in Iowa. Kennison was a passenger in a pick up truck driver by 25-year-old Austin Hansen. According to detectives, it appears Hansen lost control of the pickup truck and slammed into a retaining wall and then hit a parked car. As of now, there is no report on Hansen’s condition. The death of this young woman is a tragedy for her family and community. Roadways can be very dangerous for automobile drivers and their passengers. Recently, there has been a nationwide increase in distracted driving. Distracted driving is a term used to describe activities drivers engage in while driving. Some of these activities include but are not limited to talking and texting on a cell phone, reading, grooming, eating, talking to other passengers and listen to music too loudly. These activities take the driver’s focus and attention off the road. In turn, these activities make the driver more prone to losing control of his or her vehicle and being involved in a collision or other type of automobile accident. Drivers need to keep their focus on the road and be aware of their surroundings such as other drivers and weather conditions.
