A routine investigation headed by cyber crimes detectives led to a Duval County man, who could now potentially face up to 150 years in prison. The man, identified as 25-year-old Cale James Gentry, was arrested in August on child pornography charges after police found pictures and videos depicting child pornography. The pictures and videos were discovered during a routine online search and traced them back to Gentry’s computer. Gentry’s computer and other “digital evidence” were seized from his home in Jacksonville, Florida. Investigators found hundreds of videos on these devices with children as young as 5.
Gentry faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography. These counts will be prosecuted as second-degree felonies under the CyberCrimes Against Children Act. He could face 15 years per count. Gentry is entitled to a criminal defense attorney to defend the allegations against him.
