Shands Adds Pediatric Ambulance to Transport Injured / Ill Children and Premature Infants

Shands recently unveiled its pediatric critical care ambulance. The ambulance will be used to transport critically ill children and premature infants to get the necessary care that they need from the University of Florida – Gainesville. The equipment and supplies are specially sized for small children and infants. It is vital that small children and infants get the emergency care that they need based on their size, needs, and conditions. From medications to IVs to oxygen masks, the pediatric critical care ambulance should help save lives and promote the health of those children and infants most in need of this specialized care.
